About me

Hi, I’m Peter. I’m a mental health therapist in Seattle, Washington. I have an MA in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School and an MA in Higher Education. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in student development and residence life. I have a passion for doing life with people.

As a person, I’m oriented by my passion for play. I’m an avid pickleball player, lover of coffee, humor, interior design, a good anime, rock climbing, playing with my dog, and travel. I reside and work on Duwamish land and identify as cisgender, neurotypical, able-bodied, and Chinese-American. I’m a child of immigrants, but grew up in Colorado. I believe the greatest expertise I can offer is a shared humanity.

I spent most of my life feeling in-between and on the outside. I wrestled with my identity and my place in my family and with my peers. It took me many years to accept myself. Therapy for me is not about “fixing” you. I’m interested in helping you integrate your experiences so that you might learn how to live healthier, more interconnected, and have more meaningful relationships with others around you. So in our work, I hope you bring your human self, and we can start there.
